s t e e l e . is a creative collaboration between two Melbourne girls who share a passion and knowledge for innovative style and design. Jessica decided to take the creative reigns behind s t e e l e, referencing her own personal style of bohemian glamour fused with contemporary designs. While her partner taps into her industry experience, driving the business and marketing side of the label.

MLM is a contemporary women’s wear label that has become well recognised for its authentic take on modern and feministic dressing. Designed for sartorially intuitive woman, MLM draws inspiration from style icons past and present to create collections that are modern, edgy and forever wearable.

Neuw have a deep and unsettling love for Denim Pants. Passion and experience with denim is a central force behind Neuw’s development with the founders having a rich and varied history in the denim industry. This knowledge is reflected in the ideal fits and modern takes on traditional tailoring in both the denim range and the inspired clothing.
Refreshingly well priced for premium denim, the range is mostly under $200 with the ‘Core’ jeans less than $150. Complimenting their denim passion is an easy to wear fashion line for men and women.

Fairground’s urban aesthetic is reflective of the modern juxtaposition between the free-spirited and the structured. The brand encapsulates the transformative styles of the 21st century woman, playing with past shapes and styles, re-inventing them into perennial on-trend, statement pieces. Alice McCall, Fairground’s Creative Director, has injected her industry expertise into creating collections that echo her cultural prominence with bold prints and vivid colors.
WILDFOX COUTURE
She is the Native Heart, she is all neon light, she is a love child. She is a Wildfox. Musician Jimmy Sommers and co-designers Kimberley Gordon and Emily Faulstich established Wildfox Couture in Los Angeles in 2007. An American Vintage inspired brand known for its soft fabrics and unique designs. Wildfox quickly gained a following amongst celebrities, trendsetters and top retailers worldwide.
NENA & PASADENA
Nena & Pasadena is the collabaration of AFL star Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin together with the creative team behind Fashion Labels Kiss Chacey & Sushi Radio. From the outset the Boy’s main objective has been to produce a brand that had the quality of a high end product at a more affordable price point that would appeal to a broader cross section of their fans and the ever growing fashion conscious youth of Australia.
TOI ET MOI
Toi et Moi (pronounced twah et mwah – is French for you and me). It’s directional but wearable, it’s versatile and is the perfect mix of cultures – Parisian Street Chic with a quintessential Aussie touch. Each Toi et Moi collection has an element of French inspiration, whether it’s a graphic or the way a few pieces are styled together, it’s not a literal take on French style, it’s a take on an Australian girl in Paris.

Hailing from the beaches and city streets of Sydney Australia, Mad Love has exploded onto the street fashion scene with a sense of playfulness and artistic glam. Taking inspiration from street art with a distinct pop flavour, Mad Love represents that feeling we all covet – the feeling of not taking life too seriously. Flux founders Denis and Julian are the quiet achievers of mens boutique fashion. Both with a graphic design background the label began in 1999 with a range of printed tees. Still going strong more than a decade on the label is known for its vintage style slim fit tees and range of ‘fucking skinny jeans’. Rue Stiic apparel incorporates inspirations and passions of the ocean, organic patterns, natural textures, architecture, and rustic chic into timeless wearable pieces.

St Freddes are a rapidly growing, colourful Perth based label specialising in stylish comfort apparel. Launching their first range of vintage summer shorts and designer trucker in 2010. The vintage shorts are a 70′s inspired fashionable football short that come in both neutral and vibrant colours. With a unique Rugby League style cut St Freddes vintage shorts are a one-of-a kind in today’s fashion. INDIGO
Dressing girls for decades, INDIGO has always reflected the fashion of the time but from a sideways direction. Indigo began in 1973 selling panelled denim flares and jackets. Hence the name. Throughout the 70s many treasure-hunting trips were made to Afghanistan. Tribal wedding dresses embellished with coins and bones sat alongside the jeans on the shop shelves. By the end of the 70s with the hippy feeling fading, a more European look evolved. Stripey knits and baby doll dresses became synonymous with INDIGO in the 80s and 90s. Considerably bigger these days, INDIGO continues to dance to its own song. A desire to use natural fibres and a love of colour under-pin our aesthetic.

The now boutique clothing label, Nique first began as a design studio back in 1998, formed by Nick and Lucy Ennis. Nick and Lucy first drafted clothing designs that instantly caught the eye of local clothing manufactures. The result was Niques first fashion collection. Nique clothing entered the Melboune fashion scene with no formal fashion training, no preconceptions and no boundaries. However, where so many start-up fashion labels have failed, Nique turned into its strength – branding that reflected the culture, lifestyle and interest of the local music scene. The late 90’s was thriving in a wave of electronic music euphoria, and Nique was on that wave riding it with all the cool kids. For the love of music, fashion, design and style – Nique was there. Fast forward to today, and Nique is as strong as ever, with its presence as a respected label spanning far outside the Melbourne cool kid scene, throughout Australia and now internationally.
